My recipe for ginger cookies is not worse than that of childhood. On the contrary - there is room for experiment. About mad aroma of fresh spices and do not have to say, by a box of cookies to pass just will not be able to :)

Classic Gingerbread Cookie Recipes

Ingredients:

  • wheat flour* - 200 g;
  • butter - 100 g;
  • sugar cane - 70 g;
  • egg - 1 pieces;
  • Honey - 3 tsp;
  • Soda is an almost complete 1 tsp;
  • Cinnamon - 1 tsp;
  • cardamom - 1 tsp;
  • Dried ginger powder - 2 tsp;
  • clove - ½ tsp;
  • cocoa** (Optional) - 1 tbsp

*If you want, you can replace the flour of wheat or wholegrain rye (eg, 120 g flour and whole wheat 80 g). This will not affect the taste :)

Preparation:

Spices as necessary to grind in a mortar or a coffee grinder to a fine powder. All Sift dry ingredients (flour, spices, baking soda).

Butter (room temperature) Beat the sugar 1-2 minutes until fluffy. Add to the mixture of egg and liquid honey (if thick honey, then melt it in a water bath), whip again.

Add the oil mix to the dry ingredients in parts. With the mixer knead the dough or the blade (which happens quite sticky and soft - do not let that scare, more flour, I advise you not to add, otherwise the cookies will be a very "tight").

The dough is wrapped in foil and put into the refrigerator for at least an hour (preferably longer possible for the night). After the refrigerator the dough is easy to work with.

After the specified time to get the dough, divide into several parts: while working with one, the other can be kept in the refrigerator.
