About Banana Bread I must have heard every one of you. I, to be honest, for a long time were skeptical (not understanding why food bloggers praise him: "Oh, wonderful banana bread", "oh, what a crust and flavor").
Traditional American banana breadAlso popular in Canada and Australia, is prepared, as a rule, at Christmas time of the ripe bananas (with darkened skin!) And, no doubt, is a good source of energy, as well as potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, pectin.
By the way, potassium has a positive effect on the cardiovascular system, is indispensable if the arrhythmia; It promotes the removal of fluid (edema) of the human body, which is especially important in hypertension. Bananas are shown and people with gastrointestinal disease and liver disease. By the way, the risk of bowel cancer is reduced by the use of unripe bananas.
In truth, I, while I like bananas in baking find them not very attractive, so long did not dare to try the banana bread.
But this recipe came to my liking: moderately sweet, top fragrant pumpkin seeds, whole-wheat flour, the dough is not "nailed", not heavy, not greasy.

Banana bread: a step by step recipe
- 3-4 ripe banana (with darkened skin) - must come 1 ½ cup mashed potatoes;
- wholegrain wheat + oatmeal (50: 50) - just 1 ½ cup;
- vegetable oil (refined!) - ¼ cup;
- eggs - 2 pieces;
- cane sugar / syrup (*not necessary) - 2 tbsp;
- baking powder - 1 tsp;
- vanilla / vanilla - to taste;
- Salt - a pinch;
- poppy and pumpkin seeds - a handful for dusting.
Bananas mash with a fork.
Add the banana mixture of butter, flour, salt, baking powder, eggs, sugar and vanilla (if using), mixing after each ingredient to avoid lumps. Knead the dough with a spatula or blender. Mixing blender, do not overdo it, the dough is saturated with oxygen.
Pour into a mold (in an ideal - rectangular), the laid parchment. Sprinkle poppy seeds, nuts or pumpkin seeds, like me. By the way, nuts or seeds can be put in the dough :)
The pre-heated to 180 degree oven put the cake for about 1 hour (check skewer!). A bit cool in the form, and only then remove.
Ready banana bread can be served as warm or cold, tea, cocoa, milk or compote.
